Another point:

Good point Ramesh. Any bachelor (incl me) is son , brother and student and also friend and teacher of many women & teenage girls. I have never been to Kerala but even in Rajasthan my home state or Bihar where I was born -- this temple practice would be called shameful.

Subject: Did Jaymala sin?

As per our assumption, Jaymala had not done any sin. Did the GOD had written anywhere that womens are not allowed in his temple. Though he is GOD, he is also a son of a woman. And is it that, men are holigious & women are non-holigious. After all we all are human beings except the difference of sex. Since Jaymala had deared to enter into the temple she should not give the statements like, \\\\\\\'I was done it mistakly....etc.\\\\\\\'

RE:Did Jaymala sin?

Lord Ayyappa is HariHara Putran.

Try and understand the meaning of that term.

tell pope

Hey you are finding the previous coment irritating. Try teaching pope on birth control and advice him on preaching against leagal prostitution in his home land.

RE:NIL

Am I a Christian?! I was so far against the way Jesus was made God by imposing miracles he had not done in his life. (What I believe is that Jesus was a noble man like Mother Teresa, Gandhiji or Sri Narayana Guru. They all tried to do something for the welfare of the society.) I am against the way Judas was portrayed as a villain and Peter was portrayed as a hero in Bible. I am against a God who had told Moses to attack other nations and to kill everyone except virgins there and share those virgins as well as the wealth plundered from there among all and thereby violating all the Ten Commandments! If Christian missionaries, who had come to India to spread that religion here, were powerful enough, they would have killed all Indians at that time. I am against European domination when Pope was elected. I am against Vatican’s stand on using condoms. I am against the way Pope leading a luxurious life when millions die in utter poverty in other parts of the world especially in
Africa. I am against restriction on women becoming priests. I am against the way churches are made when thousands are suffering. I repeat the question. Am I a Christian? I wish I was called a human being!

Subject: women and Sabarimala

It is high time the priests and authorities reconsider such discrimination. In front of God all are equal and it is a sin against God the creator to consider someone unclean or unworthy to enter the temple or to perform religious observances. Such laws shold defenitely go.

It is stupid to think about it --stopping women from entering temples (of any age) !!! Even in Rajasthan or Bihar traditionally the most backward in terms of female empowerment are better than Kerala (which boasts of highest literacy) when it comes to temple worship --it seems.

No wonder so many in Kerala (40% of the state population) have converted to Christianity and Islam!!

Amazing blog subject. I did not know you could have a subject like this even in these "modern" times. Only yesterday my Keralite (mallu) landlord was speaking highly of this pilgrimage. You have to climb up and down three mountains etc.
