Actually I can think of DEMOCRATIC solutions. But not the desi kind, 
something you may not like to hear of :-), if I had to rely on my 
past observations. That is why I was wondering what you had in mind 
when you made your comment, knowing about your own very recent 
experience with the AT and other notables of Kharkhowa intelligentsia 
and having seen all the myriads of 'bondhos', agitations, armed 
uprisings and what-have-you that are required to get the attention of 
Oxom-bidhatas created with desi-demokrasy, be it at Dispur or be it 
at Hastinapur, for decades on end and for every issue of importance.

What it tells me is that desi-demokrasy is dysfunctional. It has 
always been a perfect alibi, a cover for the oligarchy of empire. And 
to expect dispute resolution or problem solving in a 'democratic' 
manner from this system is nothing less than abject delusion.
