>From the article it seems Assam has an extremely high
death rate -- about one tenth of the people of Assam
die each year ? That means in a couple of decades ALL
the people of Assam would be dead? What kindof logic
is this ?
How does the author of the article make such strange
arguments and put up such strange numbers?
***It is reported that pollution created by smoke from
burning fuels cause serious impact on the health of
the people, predominantly women and children,
resulting in nearly 1.6 million deaths annually.
FYI: Assam's total population is about 27 million and
if 1.6 million die each year (just due to pollution)
then it reflects a very high death rate.
Any comments?
