*                              UNCIVILIZED BEHAVIOUR !*

*          This letter is a reaction to the news item "Govt flays NETV CMD's
'unparliamentary' words" (The Assam Tribune; Saturday, Feb 3, 2007). It is
unbecoming of a self-styled 'CMD' of a local TV Channel called Manoranjana
Singh to use foul words like 'scoundrel' for the democratically elected CM
in a press conference. The word 'scoundrel' would boomerang to her when the
unlawful activities conducted by the Bihari couple (comprising her and
husband), are brought to light by some other Media House. Sadly, none seems
to be as influential as the duo in terms of money as well as muscle power
and 'contacts'.  Manoranjana Singh belongs to the 'tribe'  of Sanghamitra
Bharali (Mahanta). The couple can be taken to court on charges of Bigamy.
Morever, the owner of NE TV runs the coal Mafia in Ledo-Margherita in Upper
Assam, thereby forming a Syndicate.*
*               However, this issue, though unlawful, escapes grilling
because of their shield ---- the 'media business' which they have founded of
late. Morever, the lady in paints has been threatening local youths in
business since she is lobbying for a Seat as an MP from ASSAM in the Rajya
Sabha. Incidentally, both Mr. and Mrs. Singh are averse to the Assamese
language for they never make an effort to speak in it inspite of operating
and flourishing from here. Even our 'Jatiyatabadi' AASU leaders and
litterateurs are lapping up such flippancy. It happens only in ASOM !*

*             [ No Outsider has the right to use uncivilized words in public
for the Chief Minister of our State. Whether we like him or hate him, it is
we, the Natives, who will decide on his reputation. She has not only
insulted our Representative but us too. Let the accusers open their
cupboard, numerous skeletons would crumble out of the closet. *
*                  I, as a Native, declare that, the 'Numero Uno' Scoundrel of
the State is former CM Prafulla Kumar Mahanta.]*
