Dear Friends of ASSAM:

People in ASSAM need our help. We are sending copies of the Petition to everybody we can.
This is a general appeal to those who care for the name of ASSAM and would like to retain the name of ASSAM, and want to do something about it,  to kindly write letters to the editor of the The Assam Tribune at the following email address : 
1) info at assamtribune.com  and/or 2) atreporter at rediffmail.com
It does not matter if they publish the letter or not.

Dear Mr Barua,

I have received your mail through Mr Bidyananda.

Please send all your e-mail / memoranda to The Prime Minister, President of India, Sonia Gandhi, leaders of opposition parties requesting them to stop the renaming of Assam as Asom and to desist from doing so in parliament. If possible send several of them not a single one only. The President is very much accessible by e-mail. 

The matter now largely depends on them more than anybody else. Meanwhile you can continue your bombardment of the local media in Assam.
