This reminds me of our experience years back in
Kaziranga Guest House in Chennai.  

Even though we booked months in advance,  on arrival
they could not provide any accomodation.  They
arranged for us in a cheap lodge nearby at an
exhorbitant price. We practically did not have an
option since the area does not have too many
lodge/hotel.  The food was horrible and priced way too
high.

Hope Brahmaputra Guest House will be better then this.
