[Assam] DU set for 11th convocation , (The Sentinel,10.03.2007)

DIBRUGARH, March 9: Dr Bhupen Hazarika, Homen Borgohain, Dr Dhirendra Nath Borthakur and Dr Dina Barua would be awarded with honorary degrees of D.Litt and D.Sc by Dibrugarh University during the eleventh convocation of the varsity slated for March 22.
A decision to this effect was taken at the meeting of Dibrugarh University Executive Council. 
Asom Governor and Chancellor of the University Lt Gen (retd) Ajai Singh will preside over the convocation. Prof VN Rajasekharan Pillai, Vice-chancellor of the Indira Gandhi National Open University will deliver the convocation address as the chief guest. 
All eligible applicants have been requested to collect their convocation gowns from the Deputy Registrar (Academic) of DU at 11 am on March 21.
