How safe we are now/

In Pakistan, Punjab Poilce entered the premises of Geo television and
ransacked the place. then they roughed upthe Chief Excutive of the station and
locked him up in a room. Qustions are now being asked was this hooliganism by
the police could have taken place without a nod from the ruling military junta
of Pakistan?
What was the crime of the station?
The TV Station seems to have ruffled some feathers by reporting on the
removal of the Chief Justice of Pakistan’s highest court by the military
administration in violation of the constitution. The Chief Justice objected and
refused to take voluntary retirement Hence, the police acted the way they did to
vent their anger. The military administration is saying now that the misconduct
on the part of the police took place outside their knowledge.
President Musharaf has apologised to the TV station. But the station has
effused tp accept his apology because they feel that the Police could not have
behaved like that without the authority from the government.
Musharaf, the puppet of America has been stripped naked. What is our
Indian TV doing?
Indian TV stations showed the clips of the terrorising behaviour of the
Pakistan Police again and again. Viewers of TV news have seen those pictures so
are the print medias of India . the electronic news media may be thinking
that ‘we are the citizens of the largest democracy of India and we are free
from such fascist actions.’
Are we really free? Aren’t our people are killed extrajudicialy by our
soldiers? Aren’t they raping women. teenagers and minor females in our streets? In
the North East part of India to allow these infringement, parliamentary
Acts have been passed to legalise such actions.
The leadership of the current ruling Government herself is woman. But, when
women in Manipur had to make a naked march against the Army atrocities
carried out in Manipur and pictures of this protest televised this lady was not
moved by what she saw! Cambridge educated intellect; our PM has not given any
indication that his conscience cannot bear such atrocities any more.
They know very well that that they have empowered the troops with a fascist
law to enable them to do what ever they want to do in our region. They also
know very well that the troops are not going to rape their daughters, nor they
would slay their sons labelling them as extremists. whom will they kill?
But, in our region they are bent upon using fire power to stay in power. Day
before yesterday, an eighteen year girl was raped on the roadside in Manipur by
soldiers of Assam Rifles. The news was televised. We are protesting that
these should be identified as black spot in the modern India. We are take pride
on our third world sovereignty and democracy which is nothing but a big joke
for the Americans. But we still shout out at the top of our voice we are
the largest democracy awe are a sovereign nation with pride and our judicial
system is second to none. Is that true?
