The question of motives, widely seen in forums where desis
participate, almost always are raised by members of that crowd who
get heart-burn over something she or he is unable to face up to his
Indian condition but cannot debunk or refute. It is a particularly
popular gotcha-move with the crowd that also spouts
'so-called-secularist' ,'pseudo-secularist', 'mera-bharat-mahan' and
such other catch-phrases ( you know what they really mean) and are
quick to call others communists when their ability to articulate a
position against criticisms of India's loot
-from-the-many-to-enrich-a-few-policies. If you visit the Outlook
India feedback, ToI feedback, Rediff-feedback sites you see it all
the time. And if you pause to ponder over the level of discourse in
these sites you will want to hide if you identify as an Indian.
