some may like it - I exchanged emails with him a couple of months back regarding new copies of my transcripts/maksheets. Even he was amazed by the success of my batchmates - one of whom is a Regional Director of Merril Lynch in USA , another a Business Development Manager in Canada for Wipro (earlier for six years in their Tokyo office) etc.
Sonipat is a rustic rual town outside Delhi - and that place is seeing the force of change.

" Dear Friend We live in interesting times. A borderless world is evolving, where geography is history, competition is global and “employment for life” – where it exists – often means “for the life of the employer firm.”
The traditional pyramid organization with its clear-cut functions of marketing, operations, finance and administration is getting blurred. In its place is the new flat organization with fast, flexible, enthusiastic people, who stretch themselves across functions to get the job done. Routine jobs are getting automated, and much work is getting significantly.
In this age of uncertainty, there are winners and losers. The winners make good things happen, the losers do not therefore sad things may happen to them.
How does one become a winner? First, there is a need for passion and enthusiasm. Like most human traits, this is a habit. One who acts passionately and enthusiastically, will tried to become so. Secondly, there is the need for risk taking, when certainty is low, doing anything is risky, but doing nothing
is even bigger and fatal. Thirdly, there is the need for team work. The real network is not the Internet, but the relationships that tie us to each other. Without these, each of us would be a weary Atlas, all the time holding up the entire world all alone. And finally, we have to grow, to learn and to do new things that make the lives of others and ourselves better.
For those who are inclined to be winners, the Hindu Institute of Management offers an opportunity where they can equip themselves with the management tools and learning kit that will help them reach out and fulfill their destiny.

                                   Director"
