[Assam] 0.3% chance of getting GreenCard -skilled

It may seem strange and I certainly did not know that of the 1 million Green Cards issued each year only 8,400 are given to skilled workers and their families (incl.) from India or any other country (each country) -- and 85% Green Cards are given to family members of non skilled category.
   
Assuming each applying family has 3 members - then each earning member (skilled worker) gets 2,600/1,000,000 =.0026 or 0.27% chance of getting the Green Card in any given year. That makes it tougher chance than getting into IITs or IIMs (2%) or Harvard College (9%).
