Zubeen looking forward to TT show

INDIAN star Zubeen has been in touch with local singer Raymond Ramnarine about their upcoming Valentines Day show.
Ramnarine said he and Zubeen worked out details via the telephone. The two will be doing several new love songs at the concert scheduled for February 16 at the Centre of Excellence in Macoya.
Ramnarine said the concert is shaping up to be a spectacular event.
This is really a gift for fans of love song. Zubeen is hot right now and it will be privilege to whirl alongside him for Valentines, he said.
Zubeen, whose hits include Ya Ali, Subah Subah, Jag Lal, Ek Din and Jhoom Barabar Jhoom. Zubeen. The talented singer is flooded with offers from the film Industry after his track Ya Ali from the movie Gangster became a super hit.
In a recent televison inetrview , Zubeen said its all about survival in the Bollywood music industry.
All you have to do is to prove yourself and the opportunities will flow, he said.
Zubeens mother, the late Ily Borthakur was dancer, actress and singer who taught her sonall her skills, right at home. Zubeen considers his mother to be his first guru or mentor. His father MM Borthakur writes poems and stories under the pen name Kapil Thakur.
Zubeens younger sister, Jonkie Borthakur, was a singer and actress who unfortunately died in a car accident in 2002. Zubeens other sister Palme, a bharat natyam dancer, currently lives in Guwahati.
Zubeen started learning tabla from Guru Robin Banarjee, and continued learning assamese folk music form Guru Romoni Rai. He went to JB College in Jorhat, then moved to B Barooah College, where he was pursuing Bachelor of Science after his family moved permanently to Guwahati.
However, he did not complete his baccalaureate studies as he jumped into the music scene. Zubeens life had a turning point when he received the gold medal for his western solo performance in a youth festival in 1992. This is where he got his first taste of success and confidence as vocalist.
Apart form playing dhols, dotara, mandolin, percussions, Zubeen is an accomplished keyboard player. He broke into professional music scene in 1992, releasing his first album Anamika. This unusual album, became an instant hit in entire North-East India and re-defined assamese musical landscape for the 21st century.
