Dear Umesh,
There is no airfield in Indian land from chinas end.But both side aircraft do fly over another.... interesting!! The big question is the boundary is imagine by Sir.Mc Mohan. There is an imaginory line called McMohan line that divides both the two countries. In practical so far no strict boundary, inspite of the defeating last war.The high altitude routes are very taugh and its through the side of the high mountains and rivers etc. This level of border is really a difficult one.And India will not take that much interest. All because its in the Assam and north east lines- where all people are mongoloid origin- like me.
In 1965, one of Indian fighter pilot flew during his sortie to the border to see the McMohan line!!!
In fact other than Twang official border, one can go easily to China. But its chilling cold and heavy wind to withstand. So one can say as abondaned area by the both.BJP shouts in LS for Chinese intrusions. But I would love to ask them if they really dare to go thre and withstand with their Delhi body! They dnt have majority in Assam, so wanted to make this a political issue. In this region border crossing by any side is acceptable as no fixed border.
If one goses to Burma border, its more than astonishing.Other than dense forest, nothing like border...you go and come 1000 times.Go to the highest national park in Tirap Dist of east Arunachal- NAmdapha national park at 4500 ft ASL.More than half rest with Burma. But nothing wrong if you can cross the entire unacessible park!! Protected by nature.
EArlier Bangla border was like that with one cemented pole writen INdia and Bangladesh. Now only in some places heavy fencing. But pay to the BSF and cross......The Bangladesh people pay them heavy and do night robberies and go back with all loots in the morning. When they fail to pay heavy- they will be killed and telecasted in news. Here all are well paid.
Now believe the Assam/North east theory???
Jai Hind!!

I see that I could not convey what I wanted to say. Just made an observation that we may always keep an open mind about maps and boundaries. We may have to do some give and take. In spite of being patriotic, in spite of our avowed principle of non-interference, did we not have to dismember Pakistan? On the other hand, in spite their claims to AP, did the Chinese not retrace their paths after overwhelming our poorly equipped forces and our beloved Nehru's heart going out with Assam, AP and all? I just said, we may have to keep an open mind about that. The Indian Government allows airfields to be built inside AP territory by the Chinese without a fuss and then brags about AP being an integral part of India. It definitely keeps an open mind about the maps and boundaries, that is our national government, does not it?

so you mean to say that Indians are not allowed to enter Arunanchal Pradesh or that those who stay in AP are not Indians - or should not be treated as such - isn't that one of the reasons for the grumbling that mainland India does not treat NE as part of India ?
