Ram-da,

As per AICTE directive you cannot call yourself Indian Institute of Engineering or Indian College of Technology or Indian Art School or National College of Design or Indian Music School --- anything has "Indian" or "National" is reserved for govt institutions -- just like flying the national flag was reserved for govt people - till challenged by Jindal guy in Chhatisgarh some years back. So only Indian are those in govt jobs running govt institutions?
What are the rest of us?

Can you use "Indian Institute of Technology" because you want to and have a
school?

I am no lawyer, but common sense tells me you can't because you are trying
to ride the IIT wave, and may even erode their goodwill and repuation.

But, you have to explain how this is related to being classified as a
"second class citizen"?
