study abroad takes students to see AIDS patients in Africa, why not India - 5 million AIDS/HIV patients - second highest in the world!!????

Is that something to be proud of (for India)?

interesting perspective , though not always true.
However, there are indeed a few, I have encountered , in person or thru online interactions, who fit the bill, perfectly.

you will find them in old boy networks of any region's elite , even Delhi, Jaipur and perhaps Guwahati, and you will feel like complaining only if you have occasion to be at the receiving end.
joining the elite liberates you- was that Amartya' Sen, the Nobel laureate's message when he said the education is freedom?

any comments?
