good move - I too had great difficulty in getting girl students to to do long jumps and high jumps - let alone swimming -we had no swimming pool anyway at Jaipur School.  Even for Sports Day events I had to get a guard carry a big stick and shoo off onllokers along the school boundary wall.  Even though the girls were merely in school uniforms - skirts and tops  - no shorts even. eople are uncouth - how do you think most Indian guys would behave seeing Indian girls in bikinis - even in USA?

I think many colleges in India - or most- have separate timings for boys and girls - just so that everyone is comfortable . Ofcourse guys will always feel comfortable :-)
