  According to the Assam Budget for the financial year 2008-2009,the State Chief Minister, Mr. Tarun Gogoi  has given following announcement :
   
   
  Three (3) para-medical institutions will be set up at Guwahati, Dibrugarh and Silchar medical colleges,
   
  One (1) Agriculture College Dhuburi, 
   
  One (1) Engineering College at Borak Valley (Karimjanj,Cachar,Hailakandi) ,
   
  One (1) Engineering College at BTC, 
   
  One (1) University at Kokrajhar (BTC), 
  
  One (1) Nursing College at hill districts of Assam(North Cachar Hills and Karbi Anglong).
