[Assam] Assam - Perspective !

Mukul da,

Your points noted. I am not sure what the goal was for this particular
survey, but surveys can be beneficial when designed, managed and conducted
with precise, useful goals in mind.

Many general awareness surveys could give us an inkling to the direction we
are heading (say, whether children are interested in civic
responsibilities?)

Of course, some surveys by newspapers/magazines online are conducted mostly
to interest readers (they can vent their feelings) and to increase
readership. (Like, is the Govt. doing a good job?).
I hope the people conducting this particular survey did not fall into the
same 'newspaper trap' :)

I thought this survey was too broad when the age of respondents ranged from
15 to 40. I would think there could have been at least 3 distinct age
groups. The questions too, seemed to be all over the place, with no singular
purpose. It claims to be a general awareness survey, but the age group threw
me off.

Maybe its just me - I too did not think it produced anything, other than
some cursory interest.
