[Assam] USPS speed post to gauhati -- my exp

per advertisement in  local USPS PO here..it should reach final dest  in 5-7 days 
..
it took my speed post letter  to reach my inlaws in uzanbazar, Gauhati   10 days via express mail .. ...charge = 27 dollars...
 next time will try  $58 service - 2 -3 day delivery !!!! or DHL.
 
mailed from New Jersey on 29th April, reached Gau on 9th may !!! Bravo ...  
this is bad .... i know for sure  regular  mail reaches gau/cal/delhi in  10 -12  days from here  ..phew !!!...
BTW, from NYC there are  daily overnite messenger services to Del/Bom, lot of people send stuff via them , popular among desi business here..reaches next day 
 
the culprit here is  our  INDIAN POSTAL DEPT...from Delhi it took 6 days to reach gauhati..
