**** Don't you think the above is a far-off-the-mark and gratuitous
expression of acerbic reaction over a very legitimate criticism of
our 'intellectuals' who cannot or do not feel comfortable about
using Oxomiya forms of words, phrases, spellings, pronunciations
and so forth in their writings, their discourses, speeches and so
forth; in transliterating as well as simply representing the language?
Do you believe that Sanskritized or Hindified versions of our
language are either the 'correct' forms or necessary for these
intellectuals to resort to?
If not, why do you think they do so?
And if you do believe it to be so, why don't you take a shot at
explaining to us why it should be so?
We cannot forever be making snide remarks to anything that we had
difficulty accepting, without offering some constructive alternative
or offering a reason for its defense, can we?
So go guy! Tell us what bugs you. There will be plenty of opportunity
to take personal shots at Rajen or yours truly or whoever rubs your
ever-so delicate Kharkhowa sensitivities the wrong way :-).
