Respected / Dear Ex-Boarder of Hostel-1, Numero Uno, J.E.C.



           As you are perhaps aware, your Alma mater, Jorhat Engineering College is completing 50 glorious years of service to the nation. You will perhaps recall that your old hostel, Hostel No.-1 is the oldest building in the J.E.C Campus. When the college was first started half a century back, the present building of the Hostel No.-1 used to house the academic, administrative and hostel functions of the entire college.


           To commemorate this fact, the present boarders of the hostel are organizing a grand function on 1st May 2010 in befitting manner. Due to some financial problems, the celebration has been prosponed from 24th and 25th April, 2010 to 1st May 2010.


           Therefore, you, along with your family, are cordially invited to make the occasion a grand success, as well to recreate the nostalgia of your hostel days. As soon you confirm your participation, your hotel accomodation is going to be arranged.


           To commemorate this occasion a grand permenant gate is proposed to be constructed at the hostel entrance.


           You are cordially requested to contribute an article for the Souvenior to be published on the occasion on our email id on or before 15th April 2010.


           Most importantly, you are also requested to make a financial contribution to meet the expenses to be incured to make the occasion a grand success as soon as possible.
