It was a Historic Moment for Assam.
 
The ALL ASSAM STUDENTS' UNION has statewide called for “Satyagraha”  protest against government's failure to implement the ASSAM ACCORD 1985 and for other burning issues of Assam.

 
Talking to NNN, AASU advisor Samujjal Bhattacharyya said, “We launched the satyagraha to highlight the failure of successive governments’ in realizing the national commitment. Detection and deportation of illegal immigrants was a national commitment made to us".(Coutesy -NNN)

 
The AASU wants to build an Assam with the indigenous people, not with illegal foreign nationals," 
 
 National Register of Citizens (NRC)  which is the safeguard for Assam's Indigenous people, however, the Assam Government suspended the update process of National Register of Citizens (NRC) in the wake of protests from the All Assam Minorities Students’ Union (AAMSU).

 
Let us join by supporting the Right Cause of Assam.
