Janmashtami rally in Dhaka Sep 1

 
Dhaka, Aug 27 (bdnews24.com)—Hindus in Dhaka city will take out a traditional 
rally marking Janmashtami, the birthday of Lord Sri Krishna, on Sep 1. 

The decision came from a meeting of Mohanagar Sarbojonin Puja Committee on 
Friday. 

The procession will start from the crossing of Palashi and disperse at Bahadur 
Shah Park on Sept 1, a national holiday. 

It will go round Jagannath Hall, central Shaheed Minar, Doyel Chottor, High 
Court building, National Press Club, Paltan, Shaheed Noor Hossain Square, 
Bangabandhu Avenue, Gulistan, Nawabpur and English Road crossing. 

In a statement, the committee asked all devotees to gather at Dhakeswari 
National Temple by 2pm. 

The committee's president Biresh Chandra Shah and general secretary Babul 
Debnathalso attended the meeting.
