New Features in XOBDO (The one and only online multi-lingual dictionary of the languages of the North-East India):

1. An Assamese interface including the error messages (almost 85% translated), first ever in any website.

2. Three color schemes to choose from - RedRiver, BlueHill and the original GreenTea.

3. Discussion at the submission analysis itself.

4. The option of Phrase (খণ্ডবাক্য) included in the Idioms entry part.

5. A new fast word submission and analysis mechanism.

6. The search is asynchronous. Only the result is replaced.

7. A dynamic panel displaying different information in the homepage. It also retrieves GoogleGroups posts.



Objectives of Xobdo.org :

1. Promote Assamese, Bodo, Mising, Karbi, Dimasa, Khasi, Meeteilon, 
Mizo, Hmar and other languages of the North-East India worldwide through
 the internet.

2. Cooperate constructively with all possible quarters to build online 
dictionaries, word corpus, learning tools and other linguistic resources
 of the concerned languages.

   3. Construct and maintain websites to cater to the above needs.

   4. Publish electronic and conventional media to cater to the above needs.

XOBDO is the brainchild of Bikram M Baruah. He is the co-ordinator of
XOBDO.He is  a petroleum engineer now based in Abu Dhabi. There are 1556 members in Xobdo.
