[Assam] Waiting for the dawn

Ms. Jahnavi Baruah an amazing writer, hailing from our
homeland Assam is a finalist in the Man Asian Booker 2011, considered the most
prestigious literary award in the whole of the Asian continent.  Jahnavi Baruah’s book titled “Rebirth” had been
shortlisted for this prestigious award. I am aware about a few other Indian
writers previously winning the award. And that now an Assamese writer for the
first time ever being nominated to such a prestigious list of brilliant writers
got me bursting with joy. In the course of my quest for this book I also came
into contact with other unique and gifted individuals, namely Mr. Aiyushman
Dutta and Ms Barnali Das who have amazed me with their unassuming yet powerful
