Eligibility Criteria for Constable Recruitment 2023
Age Limit:
The age limit for the sub-officer post is 20-24 years as of 01-01-2023 and for other posts is 18-25 years
Relaxations
There are age relaxations available for the following categories:
- SC/ST(H)/ST(P): 5 years
- OBC/ MOBC: 3 year
- National and International sports person: 3 years
Other Criteria
- Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian citizen and a permanent resident of Assam.
- Employment Exchange Registration: The candidate must have registered his/her name with a local Employment Exchange in Assam.
- Local Language Proficiency: The candidate must be fluent in speaking Assamese or any other state language.

Application Fee
The application fee for Assam Police Constable Recruitment 2023 is as follows:

Selection Process for Assam Police Constable Recruitment 2023
The selection process for the post of Constable, Sub-Officer & Emergency Rescuer under APRO and Fire & Emergency Services, Assam will consist of the following stages:
- Physical Standard Test (PST)
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Written Examination
- Practical Test
- Interview and Verification of Documents
Physical Standard Test (PST)
The Physical Standard Test is designed to assess the physical fitness and overall body structure of the candidates. Candidates who meet the required physical standards will be eligible to participate in the Physical Efficiency Test.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
The Physical Efficiency Test is designed to assess the physical endurance of the candidates. Candidates who clear the Physical Efficiency Test will be eligible to participate in the Written Examination.
Written Examination
The Written Examination will consist of objective type questions from various subjects such as General Knowledge, Elementary Mathematics, English, and Logical Analysis. The duration of the written examination will be 2 hours and the total marks will be 100.
Practical Test
The Practical Test will be conducted to assess the practical skills of the candidates in various trades such as Carpenter, Dispatch Rider, Driver, Handymen, and Messenger.
Interview and Verification of Documents
Candidates who clear the Written Examination and Practical Test will be called for the Interview and Verification of Documents. The interview will assess the communication skills and overall personality of the candidates. The verification of documents will include the verification of educational certificates, age proof, and identity proof.
